FAQ

How do I donate?

Checkout our “Donate” tab. It’s very easy to do so. A custom link that USPS made specifically for HVT will automatically generate a label for you. Just provide your own box, and we pay for the label. You can do it from home or at the post office. The link will guide you through the process and choices on how you’d like to send your package. Please use an appropriately sized box — the bigger the box, the more our small business pays for the label. Thank you!

What box should I select?

Use the smallest box you can comfortably fit clothes into. We ask for an appropriately sized box to be used for how many clothes you’re sending. For reference, a 14x14x14 box can fit almost 30 lbs of clothes. Plain boxes can be used, or old product boxes without HAZMAT material. If you decide to use an old box with branding, the post office will assume that the old product is inside. We have even gotten well taped up shoe boxes that were acceptable for USPS. Please do not use a USPS-branded or oversized box, as they are very costly. Thank you!

Why should I donate?

We are grateful for donors and this industry. We give a portion of proceeds to the National Sisterhood. They are an organization that assists fallen or injured linemen’s families with financial support. We price our products as low as we can to get clothing to people. There are a lot of moving parts in our donation process that drive costs up for getting quality products we can deliver to customers. We hope our customers see that in our listing prices. We are here to make a difference. As a thank you for donating, we will send in-store discounts based on how many clothes are donated.

How do in-store discounts work?

One article of clothing donated is 10% off an order, then an additional 5% off for every piece of clothing, capped at 30%. To get your full 30%, send in five pieces of clothing. To ensure you receive your discount code, please contact us after your package is sent. You can reach us through our “Contact” tab.

What quality of Lineworker Clothing do you accept for donations?

We do not accept any clothing with a hole, no matter how small. Other imperfections and flaws (e.g., staining) will be noted in our product descriptions. Item conditions directly impact pricing.
